Surah al-Fajr Ayat 1 with English Translation

1. اس صبح کی قَسم (جس سے ظلمتِ شب چھٹ گئی)٭o

٭ مراد ہر روز کی صبح یا نمازِ فجر ہے یا بطورِ خاص ماہ ذی الحجہ کی پہلی صبح یا یکم محرم کی صبح ہے یا عید الاضحٰی کی صبح۔ اس سے مراد سیدنا محمد مصطفی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی ذاتِ گرامی بھی ہے جن کی بعثت سے شبِ ظلمت کا خاتمہ ہوا اور صبحِ ایمان پھوٹی۔

1. By the dawn,*

* It implies the daily dawn that dispels the darkness of the night, or the Morning Prayer, or particularly the first daybreak of the month of Dhu al-Hijja or the first dawn of Muharram or the ‘Id al-Adha morning. It also connotes the Holy Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him), whose Prophethood brought the dawn of truth and faith and ended the darkness of ignorance and misguidance.

1. By the emerging dawn (that dispels the darkness of night),*

* It implies the daily dawn or Morning Prayer, or particularly the first daybreak of the month of Dhu al-Hijja or the first dawn of Muharram or the ‘Id al-Adha morning. It also connotes the Holy Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) whose Prophethood brought the dawn of faith and ended the darkness of tyranny and ignorance.

1. Waalfajri

1. Ved det daggryet (som fikk nattens mørke til å forsvinne)*,

* Dette er blitt tolket som flere ting, slik som «hver eneste dags daggry», «daggrytidebønnen», eller en av disse to månedenes første daggry: żol hijjah og moharram; det kan også være Eīd ol adhās daggry. Med dette menes det også vår mester Mohammad den utvalgte ﷺ, hvis komme var troens daggry som fikk mørket som hadde bredt seg over alt, til å forsvinne.

1. उस सुब्ह की क़सम (जिससे ज़ुल्मते शब छट गई) ।*

* (मुराद हर रोज़ की सुब्ह या नमाज़े फज्र है या बतौरे ख़ास माहे ज़िल हिज्जा की पहली सुब्ह या यकुम मुहर्रम की सुब्ह है या ईदुल अज़्हा की सुब्ह। इससे मुराद सय्यिदुना मुहम्मद मुस्तफा सल्लल्लाहु अ़लैहि व सल्लम की ज़ाते गिरामी भी है जिनकी बिअ़सत से शबे ज़ुल्मत का ख़ातिमा हुआ और सुब्हे़ ईमान फूटी।)

১. শপথ উদীয়মান প্রভাতের (যা দ্বারা রাতের অন্ধকার দূরীভূত হয়),*

* এর দ্বারা উদ্দেশ্য হলো, প্রতিদিনের ভোর অথবা ফজরের নামায, অথবা বিশেষভাবে জিলহজ্জ মাসের প্রথম প্রভাত অথবা পহেলা মহররমের প্রভাত, অথবা ঈদুল আযহার দিনের প্রভাত। এর দ্বারা সায়্যিদুনা মুহাম্মাদ মুস্তাফা সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া আলিহি ওয়া সাল্লাম-এঁর পবিত্র সত্তাও উদ্দেশ্য, যাঁর শুভাগমন অজ্ঞানতা ও স্বেচ্ছাচারিতার অন্ধকার দূরীভূত করেছে এবং ঈমানের প্রত্যুষ নিয়ে এসেছে।
